Job summary

T&S Traffic Control is seeking an experienced Traffic Management Supervisor to lead our operations team on-site across multiple depots. The role is hands-on and involves direct leadership of crews, deployment of resources, and ensuring safety and compliance at all times.

You will own the depot, coordinate dispatch with the right labour and gear, adjust rosters as jobs evolve, and be the primary point of contact for clients, crews and office.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Driver's Licence, MR/HR license (preferred).
• White Card (Construction Induction) is required.
• Current First Aid & CPR certification.
• Ability to perform traffic management duties on the tools when required.
• Availability for day or night shift depending on the roster, plus after-hours coverage on rotation.
• Willingness to travel between depots as required.
• Experience leading operational teams (preferred, not essential).
• Calm under pressure, straight-talking, and comfortable making decisions without waiting for instructions.

Responsibilities

• Own the depot and ensure jobs are dispatched on time with the right labour and gear.
• Lead crews across multiple sites and manage safety and efficiency of operations.
• Roster adjustments when tasks move and equipment tracked and maintained.
• Manage site safety: inspections, hazard identification, risk controls, and permit compliance.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Traffic Management Supervisor to join our Operations Team.

T&S Traffic Control is a fast-growing company with new clients, a field workforce that keeps expanding — and that growth is exactly why this role exists. You won't be inheriting someone else's system and keeping it ticking over. You'll be shaping how your depot runs.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll be on site, in the vehicle, in the office, on the phone at after-hours when a job changes — and you'll be the person your crews, your clients and the office all rely on to sort it out.

What You'll Be Doing

This is an opportunity to take ownership of your area, lead crews across multiple sites and play a key role in ensuring our people, clients and projects are operating safely and efficiently.

Own the depot. Jobs dispatched on time with the right labour and the right gear. Rosters adjusted when things move. Equipment tracked, vehicles compliant, stock counted, assets protected. When something goes sideways at 2am, it's yours to resolve.

Safety and compliance. Site inspections, hazard identification, risk controls. Confirming TMPs, TGSs and permits are compliant before a job starts, not after. Making sure every worker on your sites is trained, licensed and fit for duty — and pulling anyone who isn't.

Incident management. Lead the immediate response, support the investigation, debrief the crew properly and manage the client follow-up. Escalate real risk early rather than hoping it settles.

Lead your people. Set the standard and hold it. Coach Leading Hands into supervisors and Traffic Controllers into Leading Hands. Run toolbox talks that people actually get something from. Have the 1:1s. Address underperformance while it's still a conversation, not a termination.

Look after your clients. Confirm scope, deliver what was promised, and deal with problems on site before they turn into a phone call to the office.

Connect field and office. Dockets reviewed and signed off daily, payroll deadlines met, reports in on time. Information moving both ways so nobody is guessing.

What You'll Need

• Current NSW Driver's Licence, MR/HR license preferrable
• All relevant current TfNSW traffic management accreditation (TC IMP PWZ)
• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Current First Aid & CPR
