Job summary

DHL Supply Chain Australia is seeking an Operations Manager to lead high-volume, time-sensitive distribution and the management of dairy product deliveries across Sydney.

The successful applicant ideally should have previous experience managing the transport, fleet allocations and ensure outstanding customer service standards are achieved, and safety and operational targets are met in line with delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience in the transport and distribution industry.
• Be a strong and efficient leader in safety and compliance
• Previous experience developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships
• Proven skills and experience in people leadership and an ability to develop a positive culture and motivate a team
• Proven planning, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues with moderate complexity and guide and/or coach others in the resolution of problems
• Highly developed communication and presentation skills with the capacity to negotiate at a senior management level in a continuous improvement environment
• Medium to high skills in the Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

• Providing a safe working environment for all team members, and ensuringcompliance to all regulatory requirements
• Development and effective management of company fleetand warehouse
• Ensuring all elements of fleet operations is achieved, efficient and optimised
• Ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
• Effective day to day contract management of transport services
• Developmentof relevant KPI's and interpretation of same, to drive continuous improvement.
