Job summary

Nexus Executive Services is seeking an experienced Warehousing and Logistics Manager to lead a major site in Toowoomba. The role focuses on safe, efficient operations, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement across warehouse processes and technology platforms.

You will drive team leadership, inventory control and cost management while upholding high standards of safety and compliance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Senior supervisory experience in warehousing or similar fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency with MS Office and ERP/WMS systems; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, compliance and maintenance across the site.
• Provide practical team leadership, development and workforce management.
• Drive daily operational excellence and service quality.
• Manage inventory control, technology and ERP/WMS usage.
• Lead budgeting, cost control and financial stewardship.
• Develop and maintain management systems, monitoring and reporting.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma/5S).

Our Toowoomba-based client is a leading third-party logistics provider that enjoys an unparalleled reputation from having set the benchmark in its industry for more than 30 years.

Integral to the ongoing growth and development of the organisation, the opportunity now exists for an experienced Manager to lead and manage the safe, efficient and accurate operations of a major warehousing site and ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and goodwill.

Reporting to the General Manager, in this newly created role you will take responsibility for: safety, compliance and maintenance; practical team leadership, development and workforce management; daily operational excellence across the site; inventory control and technology; budgeting and cost control; management system development and maintenance; and related monitoring, evaluation, reporting and improvement.

Senior supervisory experience within a fast-paced environment (e.g. warehousing, FMCG, retail or industrial wholesale), strong interpersonal skills, proven leadership and problem-solving ability, demonstrated ability to take accountability for operational outcomes, proficiency with MS Office and a prominent ERP or Warehouse Management System, and a current Driver’s License are required.

Relevant formal qualifications, demonstrated understanding of warehousing and logistics, and experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma or 5S floor optimisation programmes would be well regarded.
