Job summary

Spry Civil Construction Pty invites an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations across their civil projects in South Australia. Based in Murray Bridge, you will align people, plant and processes to deliver on time, within budget and to high safety and quality standards.

You will work with the General Manager to mentor project managers and site teams, optimise delivery strategies, and strengthen client and stakeholder relationships while upholding WHS commitments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in civil constructions operations or senior project management.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing multiple projects and teams.
• Sound understanding of WHS legislation and risk management.
• Proven ability to analyse situations and make strategic, well-informed decisions.
• Track record of delivering operational excellence and strong client outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the successful delivery of multiple civil construction projects.
• Lead and support Project managers, Supervisors and site teams.
• Develop project delivery strategies to meet safety, quality, financial and programme objectives.
• Monitor project performance, productivity and resource allocation.
• Ensure WHS compliance, environmental requirements and company policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and business performance.
• Strengthen relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Assist with project planning and resource forecasting.
• Manage plant, equipment and labour deployment across projects.
• Mentor and develop employees to build a strong leadership culture.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Manager to plan services and works.

About the Role:

Working closely with the General Manager, the Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the business. You will beresponsible for ensuring all projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest of standards that Spry CivilConstruction are accustomed to.

You will provide strategic oversight across multiple projects, ensuring people, plant and resources are aligned to deliver exceptionaloperational performance.
