Job summary

Loop Recruitment is seeking an experienced operations leader to set up and run a greenfield site for a bulk commodities business. The role focuses on hands-on leadership, driving operational excellence from the floor, and building strong customer relationships across a multi-site network.

The successful candidate will engage in tendering transport across modes, collaborate with other sites, and continuously identify savings while improving team performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Bulk Chemicals or Agriculture Industries.
• Strong operational and project delivery capability.
• Analytical, data-driven decision-making skills.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance cost, service, and risk.
• Must have a degree.

Responsibilities

• Set up a greenfield site with 5–6 owners from product landing to the site and organizing transport to a multi-site client network.
• Drive operational excellence from the floor up while managing customer relationships.
• Engage and tender for transport across different modes to optimise cost and service.
• Collaborate with other sites with a one-goal mindset to maximise efficiency and outcomes.
• Identify and drive cost savings, improve people performance, and lead by example.

Key Responsibilities

You will set up a greenfield site with 5 - 6 owning from product landing to the site then organizing transport to out clients multi-site network. This is Operational hands on leadership position where you will drive operational excellence from the floor up getting hands dirty whilst always driving the customer relationship.

• Set up a streamlined Operation maximising efficiency reducing waste
• Commercially engage and go to tender for Transport across different modes
• Work with other sites having a collaboration mindset where it's a true one goal focus
• Continue to find savings, optimising people performance and not bring afraid to put yourself out there
