Job summary

The Acquire Group is seeking a Global Operations Director based in Sydney or Perth with travel across domestic and international markets. You will lead a high-growth consumer products business to unify a multi-region supply chain into a world-class centre of operational excellence.

With 12+ years in senior logistics roles, you’ll master international freight, 3PL governance, and offshore warehousing while standardising ERP/WMS platforms and championing eco-friendly logistics.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of senior logistics leadership within a global matrix environment.
• Hands-on mastery of international freight (ex-Asia/China) and 3PL governance.
• Experience in offshore pick-and-pack operations; consumer goods/wholesale exposure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field; MBA is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a scalable global operating model across multiple hubs and a 3PL network.
• Lead and mentor a 30+ person cross-cultural team across regions.
• Own end-to-end cost-to-serve; manage inbound freight, Incoterms, landed costs, and last-mile accountability.
• Standardise ERP, WMS, and freight platforms; drive eco-friendly packaging initiatives.
• Foster a proactive safety culture and governance across the global supply chain.

What You’ll Actually Do:

• Architect the Future: Define and execute a scalable global operating model across the consolidation hub in China, six owned warehouses, and extensive 3PL network.
• Command the Matrix: Lead, mentor, and inspire an extended team of 30+ cross-cultural professionals across the US, China, and Western Australia.
• Master the Unit Economics: Own the end-to-end cost-to-serve. Drive international inbound freight from China, manage Incoterms, optimise landed costs, and keep last-mile carriers fiercely accountable.
• Champion Innovation & Sustainability: Standardise the global ERP, WMS, and freight platforms for a single source of truth, while simultaneously pioneering eco-friendly packaging and green freight initiatives.
• Protect the People: Cultivate a proactive, behavior-led safety culture where looking out for one another is an everyday norm.

Your credentials:

• The Blueprint: 12+ years of senior logistics leadership within a matrixed, global environment.
• The Expertise: Deep, hands-on mastery of international freight (ex-Asia/China), complex 3PL governance, and offshore pick-and-pack operations.
• The Sector Experience: Consumer goods or wholesale experience is a massive plus, but your end-to-end supply chain mastery and commercial acumen are what matter most.
• The Pedigree: A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business (an MBA will really make you stand out).
