Job summary

MindSpot, part of Macquarie University Health, seeks a Head of Operations to lead the systems, processes, resources and infrastructure that keep MindSpot running, enabling clinicians to focus on the people they support. The role is a flexible hybrid position based at Macquarie University's Wallamattagal Campus in North Ryde and reports to the Executive Director, MindSpot & Mental Health Services.

You will oversee day-to-day performance across business processes, procurement, grants and budgets,

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, service delivery or business management in healthcare, not-for-profit, university or similarly complex environment.
• Experience setting up performance frameworks, service standards and reporting to monitor and improve service quality and performance, using data to inform decisions.
• Knowledge of government funding, contracts and grant management, including compliance and reporting obligations.
• Sound financial management, including budgets, forecasting and financial controls, and experience working with procurement and technology functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain MindSpot's operating model, including business processes, systems and operating practices.
• Provide operational oversight across MindSpot, ensuring business requirements, priorities and day-to-day operations are well managed.
• Oversee rostering, service capacity and workforce planning.
• Oversee operational requirements relating to technology, software, procurement, property, facilities and workplace infrastructure.
• Establish and monitor operational KPIs and performance frameworks.
• Enable WHS, risk, compliance and governance requirements, including participation in MQ Health WHS committees.
• Oversee grants, funding agreements and budgets with MQ Health Finance Director to monitor expenditure and reporting.
• Identify and resolve operational constraints and ready the service for growth.
