Job summary

TSM Contractors, a South Australian civil infrastructure and utilities contractor based in Adelaide, seeks an experienced Operations Manager - Business Development to split time between running the day-to-day business and driving growth. You will oversee field operations and crews, keep projects on track and compliant, and build relationships with clients to win new work.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil infrastructure, utilities or telecommunications construction.
• Background in operations, project or contracts management within civil/construction.
• Experience in business development, client relationships, quoting or tendering.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Confident communication across field crews to clients and senior stakeholders.
• Current driver's license and willingness to travel to regional sites.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day operations across active sites and project teams, including scheduling, resourcing and compliance.
• Managing project delivery to ensure work is completed safely, on time and to budget.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients across the telecommunications and utilities sectors.
• Identifying, pursuing and winning new business opportunities, including preparing quotes, proposals and tender responses.
• Working closely with site supervisors and administrative staff to keep registers, reporting and documentation up to date.
• Contributing to broader business strategy and helping shape TSM's continued growth across South Australia.
