Job summary

Iberdrola Australia is seeking an experienced OT Engineer to provide technical leadership and coordination of SCADA, control systems and OT project scopes, predominantly for new assets in Australia.

Based in Brisbane or Sydney, you will ensure OT/SCADA solutions meet design, commissioning, and compliance requirements, while coordinating interfaces and managing risks with contractors and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in control, SCADA and OT systems in renewable energy or comparable industrial environment.
• Ability to balance technical detail with project delivery objectives.
• Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration.

Iberdrola is now recruiting for an experienced OT Engineer to provide technical leadership and coordination of SCADA, control systems and OT project scopes, predominantly for new assets.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior OT Manager, and based in either the Sydney or Brisbane CBD office, this role is responsible for ensuring OT and SCADA solutions meet project, operational and compliance requirements from design through commissioning, coordinating interfaces between work packages, managing technical risks, and supporting successful project delivery.

It will act as the primary technical point of contact for OT related project activities, working closely with contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders to review designs and documentation, coordinate testing and acceptance activities, and support project delivery. The role also contributes to the support and continuous improvement of operational OT and SCADA systems, including troubleshooting, lifecycle activities and the delivery of minor enhancement projects.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering, or related discipline, and demonstrated experience in control, SCADA and OT systems within the renewable energy sector or comparable industrial environment.

The ability to balance technical detail with project delivery objectives and to make sound engineering decisions in a multi-disciplinary environment, will be necessary for this role.
