Job summary

Western Power in Western Australia is seeking an Operational Technical Officer to support the distribution network's maintenance and reliability. The role provides technical advice, coordinates training and authorisations, and ensures compliance and safety across field operations.

You will manage fleet and resources, conduct in-field compliance audits, and help resolve complex technical issues while contributing to a safer, more reliable energy network for the community.

Qualifications

• Experience in distribution network operations and field support.
• Ability to coordinate training and authorisations.
• Experience in compliance, safety management and incident investigations.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and operational support across network activities.
• Coordinate training and authorisations; manage workforce competencies.
• Oversee compliance audits and safety-related investigations.
• Maintain and calibrate portable equipment registers and fleet needs.
