Job summary

Talent International in Brisbane seeks a System Analyst / Application Support Analyst for a 12-month contract, delivering first-line functional support for business-critical operational systems. You will triage incidents and service requests, follow runbooks, and ensure service levels are met.

The role emphasizes ITSM familiarity, strong documentation, and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders in airline, aviation, transport or similar high-availability

Qualifications

• Experience as System Analyst or Application Support Analyst.
• Strong experience providing functional application or systems support.
• Experience with incident management, service requests, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Ability to follow runbooks while using analytical thinking.
• Exposure to ITSM processes and ticketing platforms.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in operationally critical environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line functional support for business-critical operational systems.
• Triage, investigate and progress incidents, service requests and system issues.
• Resolve assigned issues within established procedures and service levels.
• Follow established runbooks, troubleshooting procedures and escalation pathways.
• Capture accurate incident records, troubleshooting steps, evidence and resolutions.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate technical or application support teams.
• Communicate effectively with business users throughout the incident lifecycle.
• Assist with identifying recurring issues and opportunities for service improvement.
• Maintain support documentation, procedures and knowledge articles.
• Collaborate with operational, application and technology teams to maintain reliable system services.
