Job summary

Whizdom is seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Support Contractor for a Sydney-based, hybrid role. You will contribute to operational risk, compliance, resilience and governance activities across BAU and project work.

The engagement starts in November 2026 for an initial six months with potential extension, requiring 50% office attendance in Sydney CBD and a 38-hour work week. The role demands strong analytical skills, stakeholder engagement and the ability to deliver risk reports and

Qualifications

• Experience in operational risk, governance or related discipline.
• Experience supporting risk assessments, control reviews or risk management activities in corporate/government/regulatory environment.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks, compliance frameworks or control assurance activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to interpret information, identify risks and develop recommendations.
• Experience preparing reports and briefing materials for management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting operational risks.
• Maintain risk registers, incident and issue logs, action plans and supporting documentation.
• Support risk assessments, control reviews and risk workshops.
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and briefing materials for governance committees.
• Monitor compliance obligations and track management actions.
• Provide project and change-risk support for strategic initiatives.
• Prepare governance committee papers and coordinate follow-up actions.
• Support risk culture, awareness and capability-building initiatives.
• Provide practical operational risk advice under supervision.
