Job summary

Whizdom is seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Support Contractor in Sydney’s CBD for a hybrid engagement. The initial six-month term may extend, with 38 hours per week and Australian citizenship eligibility noted.

The role covers operational risk, governance, resilience and reporting across business-as-usual and project work. The successful candidate will engage with risk partners to maintain risk and incident registers, prepare reports and support risk workshops, controls and governance

Qualifications

• Experience in operational risk, governance or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting risk assessments, control reviews or other risk management activities in corporate, government, regulatory or professional services environments.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks, compliance frameworks or control assurance activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting operational risks.
• Maintain risk registers, incident and issue registers, action plans and supporting documentation.
• Support risk assessments, control reviews and risk workshops.
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards, presentations and briefing materials for management and governance committees.
• Monitor compliance obligations and track management actions.
• Provide project and change-risk support for strategic and operational initiatives.
• Prepare governance committee papers and coordinate follow-up actions.
• Support risk culture, awareness and capability-building initiatives.
• Provide practical operational risk advice under the direction of enterprise risk team members.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management processes, tools and reporting.
