The Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria is seeking policy and compliance professionals to support the development and maintenance of operational guidance for Youth Justice in Melbourne. You will help implement key legislation and reforms while ensuring practical, evidence-based procedures across community and custodial operations.

Travel to Youth Justice custodial precincts and community offices is required, with a VPS4 remuneration package reflective of experience and

Competenze

Experience supporting development, review or implementation of policy, procedures or practice guidance.
Ability to interpret legislation, policy or administrative requirements and apply them to policy work.
Exposure to Charter assessments, human rights analysis or legal compliance work is desirable.
Strong research and analytical skills to gather and synthesise evidence and best-practice material.
Well-developed written communication skills for briefs and reports.

Mansioni

Develop, review and maintain operational policies and procedures.
Assist with implementation of Youth Justice legislation, policy and reforms.
Ensure policies comply with the Youth Justice Act 2024 and other relevant legislation.
Collaborate with staff, subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop practical guidance.
