Job summary

NFP People Limited is seeking an Operational Manager in Brighton to lead a residential support service for homelessness and complex needs. You will oversee a dedicated team, ensure high-quality, person-centred support and uphold safeguarding, safety and risk management.

You will guide the service through a planned demobilisation at contract end, collaborating with partners to help residents transition to safe, appropriate outcomes while maintaining service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering support services to vulnerable people, including safeguarding and housing management.
• Ability to lead a staff team, provide supervision and maintain wellbeing.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and psychologically informed approaches to care.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the staff team with supervision, performance reviews and wellbeing support.
• Ensure high-quality, person-centred support with regularly reviewed plans for residents.
• Embed trauma-informed approaches across the service and maintain safeguarding and health & safety.
• Manage safeguarding, risk, health and safety, and crisis responses.
• Oversee referrals, housing management, arrears and licence agreements.
• Monitor outcomes, quality standards and contractual performance.
• Build strong relationships with commissioners, local authorities and partner agencies.
