Job summary

Soho House Brighton is seeking a Safety and Operations Manager to ensure a safe, secure environment for guests, staff, contractors, and assets, with a focus on fire and life safety and operational security.

You will work across the business with managers to drive a culture of safe behaviour, manage licensing, oversee BOH operations, and lead inspections and incident investigations, while delivering training and staff development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in a safety/ops role.
• Hospitality or hotel/club experience preferred.
• CIEH level 3 or 4 certification is desirable.
• Knowledge of licensing conditions and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for BOH operational safety matters and risk prevention.
• Lead safety and maintenance prioritisation and communicate needs to management.
• Oversee security program including CCTV, access control, and incident handling.
• Ensure licensing compliance and maintain relevant logs with authorities.
• Manage BOH staffing, ordering, and budget-aligned cost control.
• Coordinate with Regional Head of Health and Safety on group initiatives.
• Prepare regular activity reports for GM and management team.
• Coordinate investigations into incidents to support lessons learned.
