Job summary

Coal Augering Services, a leading Open Cut Highwall Auger Mining contractor in Australia, is seeking an Auger Support Crew member to join Bowen Basin projects. The role supports wheel loader operations and general pit activities on day shifts.

You will work in Moranbah/Central Qld with on-site accommodation and meals provided. A positive attitude, safety focus, and relevant loader/excavator experience are highly valued, with potential for future advancement.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and team player.
• Good understanding of mine site Compliance and Health & Safety Standards.
• Previous production experience and mechanical background is highly regarded.
• Wheel Loader essential and Excavator experience with relevant competency highly regarded.
• Preferably live local or have the ability to drive in and out to site.
• Current Coal Board Medical
• Current Standard 11 Surface Induction
• RIIMPO304E Conduct wheel loader operations
• RIIMPO301E Conduct Hydraulic Excavator Operations (Highly Regarded)
• Open Driver's Licence

Responsibilities

• Operate Loader in a production environment.
• Perform manual duties on the pit floor supporting the Auger.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance activities, servicing, breakdowns and machine compliance requirements.
• Pre-start equipment inspections, cleaning, greasing & fuelling of equipment.

CAS is seeking Auger Support Crew to work in the Bowen Basin for upcoming projects. Location: Central Qld (Moranbah & Blackwater Districts)

Description of Duties:

Operate Loader in a production environment.

Perform manual duties on the pit floor supporting the Auger.

Participate in scheduled maintenance activities, servicing, breakdowns and machine compliance requirements.

Pre-start equipment inspections, cleaning, greasing & fuelling of equipment.

Roster is day shift only 7on, 7off.

Accommodation and meals provided whilst on site.

Skills and Experience:

Positive attitude and team player.

Good understanding of mine site Compliance and Health & Safety Standards.

Previous production experience and mechanical background is highly regarded.

Wheel Loader essential and Excavator experience with relevant competency highly regarded.

Not essential for now, but Supervisor experience and competencies may lead to future opportunities.
