Job summary

Extend Group is seeking an OOSH Relief Assistant to support services across Kellyville, Cherrybrook and Prestons. In this casual role you’ll lead engaging activities, assist with science experiments, sports tournaments, and creative arts, while ensuring a safe, inclusive environment for every child.

You will help prepare healthy snacks, coordinate after-school and vacation care shifts, and work within a vibrant team that values development and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Early Childhood or related area is desirable.
• Warm, engaging personality and can-do attitude.
• Valid Working With Children Check and First Aid/CPR/Asthma Management training (or willingness to obtain).

• Create Awesome Experiences: deliver science experiments, sports, educational activities, and arts that kids enjoy.

Job description

About your service: Enjoy the variety and flexibility of working across our fantastic Kellyville, Cherrybrook & Prestons cluster! You’ll have the opportunity to support services in these suburbs, making a real impact while broadening your OOSH leadership experience.

Hourly Rate: $37.59 - $47.68 (Including Worker Retention Payment Scheme) + 12% Super.

• Days Required: Monday to Friday. 2-3 shifts fortnightly.
• After School Care: 2:25 PM to 6:00 PM.
• Vacation Care: Up to 30 hours per week.
• Contract: Casual.
• Professional development sessions are paid training sessions, and Retention payments are above award.

• The Community Connector: Ensure every stakeholder is heard and valued while building successful, integrated OOSH programs.

What You Bring to the Mix

• The Qualification: You’ve got (or are studying toward) a Certificate III in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, or School Aged Care, Diploma, Bachelors, Masters and more. Check with us if your qualification is approved! (Desirable but not essential).
• The Vibe: You’re warm, engaging, and have a "can-do" attitude.
• The Essentials: A valid Working With Children Check, Child Protection Training Certificate, First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management (willingness to obtain).
