Job summary

The role requires an unrestricted electrical licence and strong supervisory experience in PV solar and split-system AC

• Current Unrestricted Electrical Licence.
• Practical supervisory and trade experience with PV solar systems and split system air conditioning across residential and commercial settings.
• Strong background managing work orders, tracking expenditure, and overseeing capital improvement programs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of leading trade teams and managing client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level supervisory services for the delivery of electrical construction, maintenance, and upgrade works across Queensland.
• Conduct onsite inspections and audits of campus electrical infrastructure, PV solar installations, and split system air conditioning.
• Collaborate with technical officers to interpret client requests, perform cost estimates, and prepare detailed scopes of work.
• Utilise work order management systems to track project status, expenditure, outputs, and compliance against time and budget.
• Build and maintain positive client relationships through proactive communication and high standard program delivery.

About the Role

Working within a major Queensland State Government department, as a Senior Supervisor (Electrical) you will lead the delivery of statewide technical programs, including energy efficiency initiatives, capital improvements, PV solar systems, and air conditioning upgrades across government, residential, and commercial infrastructure. In this dynamic role, you will oversee technical site audits, coordinate detailed scopes of work, and manage daily trade operations while serving as the primary liaison for key government stakeholders and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high level supervisory services for the delivery of electrical construction, maintenance, and upgrade works across Queensland.
• Conduct thorough onsite inspections and audits of campus wide electrical infrastructure, PV solar installations, and split system air conditioning.
• Collaborate with technical officers to interpret client requests, perform cost estimates, and prepare detailed scopes of work.
• Utilise work order management systems to track project status, expenditure, quality outputs, and compliance against agreed time and budget parameters.
• Build and maintain positive client relationships through proactive communication, sound negotiation, and high standard program delivery.

What We're Looking For
