Job summary

Brunel is seeking an experienced Network Engineer for an 8:6 FIFO role in South Australia’s mining sector. The role covers on-site OT and IT network environments, with hands-on support across Cisco switching, routing, wireless, and Cambium technologies.

You will troubleshoot, upgrade and maintain resilient network infrastructure for surface and underground operations. Responsibilities include providing L1/L2 support, coordinating patches and changes, and advising project teams on network

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with complex network environments in mining or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco switching, routing and wireless access points.
• Experience with OT networking and industrial Ethernet environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 network support for OT and IT networks.
• Troubleshoot network incidents, outages and performance issues.
• Support Cisco switching, routing and wireless environments.
• Maintain Cambium wireless infrastructure and industrial Ethernet networks.
• Assist with surface and underground network infrastructure.
• Coordinate patching, firmware and software upgrades with remote teams.
• Act as technical approver for network changes onsite.
• Provide guidance to project teams delivering network initiatives.
• Support technology projects interfacing with site networks.
• Maintain network standards, reliability and operations.
• Collaborate with operational teams and other stakeholders.
