Job summary

Paxus is seeking an Industrial Communications Network Specialist to support stability, availability and performance of critical OT and IT networks at a remote mine site. The role is FIFO from Adelaide, with travel to the mine site, and focuses on maintaining and optimizing industrial network environments.

You will troubleshoot connectivity issues, coordinate with operations and engineering teams, and implement network changes to ensure continuous production.

Qualifications

• CCNA certification is preferred.
• Experience in mining or industrial environments is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks and Cisco equipment.
• Ability to work in a remote, FIFO mining site environment with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stability across IT and OT networks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network outages and connectivity issues.
• Configure and support new network connections.
• Proactively monitor network events and critical production systems.
• Provide rapid break-fix support following network outages.
• Perform preventative maintenance to reduce equipment failures and downtime.
• Safely execute planned maintenance and network changes.
• Work closely with site operations and technical stakeholders during incidents and changes.
