Job summary

CrossBoundary Energy is seeking a Project Engineer to support the execution of an off-grid hybrid power station in Western Australia. You will coordinate with implementing partners, review schedules and budgets, and ensure compliance with CBE standards across design, construction and commissioning phases.

Qualifications

• Citizen or permanent resident of Australia.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or other relevant Engineering discipline.
• 5–10 years of design and construction experience on (hybrid) power stations, preferably with gas reciprocating gensets.
• Experience coordinating engineering, suppliers and contractors.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Understanding of project delivery from design through construction and commissioning.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English (speaking and writing).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
• Ability to manage multiple technical workstreams independently, without on-site supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support the project team, EPC and subcontractors in coordination and EHS management duties.
• Monitor and update project work schedules using standard templates and track progress.
• Effectively manage internal and external stakeholders to complete tasks.
• Identify schedule and budget risks early and notify the Manager.
• Attend weekly EHS and progress meetings to capture issues and notes.
• Record and report EHS and construction data, and transmit weekly reports.
• Suggest improvements to project implementation for better value and returns.
• Interpret basic technical designs and drawings related to energy systems and equipment.
