Job summary

Warrikal is seeking a Site HSE Advisor to support shutdown and maintenance projects across the mining and resources sector in Western Australia. This hands-on, site-based role requires you to be a visible safety leader on operations, partnering with frontline teams and leaders to drive safe and efficient project delivery.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years’ experience in an HSE Advisor role, with shutdown maintenance exposure.
• Certificate IV in WHS/OHS or related discipline.
• Experience with risk management, JHAs, SWMS and task-based risk assessments.
• Experience supporting or conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills; able to work autonomously on a site.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on HSE support across shutdown and maintenance projects.
• Be a visible safety leader, coaching and engaging with frontline teams and operational leaders.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, field observations, risk assessments and critical control verifications.
• Review JHAs, SWMS and task-based risk assessments and provide guidance on controls.
• Monitor compliance with WHS legislation, client requirements and Warrikal standards.
• Support incident investigations, identify contributing factors and assist with corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety communications and HSE initiatives.
• Monitor and report on HSE performance, corrective actions and improvement opportunities.
• Build strong working relationships with operational teams, contractors and client stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across site HSE practices.
