Job summary

Bugarrba, in partnership with SRG Global, seeks an experienced HSE specialist to ensure safety compliance on site in Wangara, WA. This role involves inspections, incident investigations, and driving a strong safety culture within the project team.

You will collaborate with site personnel and management, lead safety training, and support injury management while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of WHS legislation and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (Mandatory).
• Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) Lead Investigator (Mandatory).
• C‑A Driver's License or Above (Mandatory).
• Construction White Card (Mandatory).
• Diploma in Work Health and Safety (Desirable).
• Formal Auditing or Lead Auditor Skill Set (Desirable).
• Minimum 3 years operational experience.
• Experience in teamwork.
• Good knowledge of WHS legislation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections, monitoring, and analysis of work areas with operations teams.
• Identify and resolve site safety issues, recommending solutions to key personnel.
• Provide post-incident advice, lead investigations, and manage end-to-end reporting.
• Stay current with industry regulations, standards, and policies.
• Collaborate with management on project risk assessments.
• Manage and support event reporting via the Bugarrba system.
• Develop, deliver, and improve HSE training and inductions for employees.
• Report weekly to the HSET Superintendent.
• Attend and contribute to scheduled safety meetings.
• Support Injury Management and RTW with the Group Case Manager.
• Facilitate internal training programs as required.
