Job summary

Egis Group is recruiting a Health Safety and Training Coordinator for a major Australian infrastructure project. You will support rollout of HSE initiatives, manage ICMS documentation, and act as on-site Health & Safety and Return‑to‑Work Coordinator.

Based at Kingsgrove/Homebush, the role involves coordinating training, conducting risk assessments, and leading pre-starts and toolbox meetings while ensuring compliance and safety performance on a 24/7 site.

Qualifications

• Proven WHS experience in construction, maintenance or similar field.
• Experience in administering HSE Systems (e.g., Rapid, Permitted).
• Experience conducting risk assessments and reviewing SWMS.
• Attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Advanced Excel and computer skills required.
• Certificate IV in WHS preferred; willing to obtain if not held.
• Return-to-Work Coordinator training preferred; willing to obtain.
• Strong presentation skills for leading pre-start and toolbox meetings.
• White Card and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Roll out and monitor HSE initiatives across the project.
• Maintain documentation in the ICMS Quality System.
• Act as Health & Safety and Return-to-Work Coordinator onsite.
• Ensure team qualifications and training needs are met and up to date.
• Participate in daily pre-starts, toolbox talks and risk assessments.
• Support incident investigations and ongoing safety improvements.
