Job summary

The University of Adelaide is seeking a Student Assist Officer, Services and Enquiries, based at the Magill campus. You will be the first point of contact for students, delivering quality information and support to help online and campus-based students thrive.

This is a full-time fixed-term role, anchored in the Student Experience and Success Portfolio, with opportunities to collaborate across AU Online, Student Assist and Retention teams in a dynamic, student-centred environment.

Qualifications

• Develop and manage tailored study plans for students (including those affected by curriculum changes or academic progress issues).
• Identifying and meeting student needs through timely and accurate information via phone, email, and online chat.
• Support at-risk students through early intervention, academic review, and progression monitoring processes.
• Assessing and prioritising matters raised by students, collaborating with University staff to resolve issues, and referring students to appropriate areas for detailed support.
• Deliver pre-emptive support for students based on key risk indicators.
• Collaborating with staff across the AU Online, AU Student Assist and Student Retention and Success Teams to facilitate information sharing, enquiry support where needed, and consistency of systems and processes.
