Job summary

The BUSY School is seeking a passionate and proactive Online Student Support Officer to join The BUSY School Online (TBSO) team. This role focuses on supporting students to thrive, wellbeing and engagement, building trusted relationships with young people.

You'll work with students, teachers and support staff to promote attendance, participation and successful educational outcomes, contributing to a positive, inclusive learning experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working in youth support, education, community services, wellbeing, counselling or a related field
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong computer, administrative and data management skills
• Experience supporting young people facing educational, social or personal barriers will be highly regarded
• A current Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Support student attendance, engagement and participation during online lessons
• Support student onboarding and successful participation in online learning
• Build positive relationships with students, families and caregivers
• Collaborate with teachers, learning support and wellbeing to remove barriers to learning and engagement
• Provide initial wellbeing and pastoral support to students
• Maintain accurate student records, case notes and engagement data
• Participating in case management and intervention planning activities
• Contributing to a safe, positive and inclusive school culture aligned with child safety principles
