Job summary

Index Academy in Mount Waverley, VIC is seeking passionate tutors to join our growing team. We offer personalised tutoring from Year 3 to VCE with classes capped at four students, and opportunities to teach in Mathematics, English and Science.

You will plan engaging lessons, adapt to each student’s learning style, monitor progress, and communicate with parents and the Index Academy team. Flexible hours allow you to fit study or other commitments while making a direct impact on student confidence

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the nominated subject areas.
• Relevant teaching qualifications or demonstrated subject expertise.
• Experience working with students from Years 3–12.
• Clear and confident communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver clear, engaging and personalised lessons.
• Adapt teaching methods to each student’s needs and learning style.
• Monitor student understanding and academic progress.
• Provide constructive feedback and encouragement.
• Communicate professionally with parents and the Index Academy team.
• Help create a positive, supportive and focused learning environment.
