Job summary

Contour Education in Victoria is seeking founding Year 7-10 Science Tutors to deliver engaging classes, built for discussion in a room designed for interaction. You teach with Contour’s in-class materials and guide students through learning moments that stick.

You’ll teach two-hour sessions weekly, mentor students as a teacher and coach, and help them prepare for topic tests and assessments. Evening and weekend work fits around your timetable.

Qualifications

• Must have 95+ ATAR and a 40+ subject score in VCE Science (Biology, Chemistry or Physics).
• Love of teaching and the patience to explain concepts multiple ways.
• Energy to run a classroom and engage students every session.

Responsibilities

• Teach two-hour small-group classes weekly in a discussion-focused room.
• Engage students with discussions, explorations, diagrams and videos.
• Mentor students as a teacher, coach and support person.
• Provide in-class support and address misconceptions to build confidence.
• Prepare students to perform on topic tests and assessments.
