John Holland Pty Ltd is seeking a Safety Adviser for the North East Link – Hoddle to Burke on-site in Kew, Melbourne. The role focuses on implementing the Project Safety Plan, leading a strong safety culture, and ensuring regulatory compliance across major civil works.

Responsibilities include risk assessment, incident investigation, safety governance, and collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and regulators. Weekend/night shift flexibility is required to support critical activities.

Formación

• Diploma in WHS and Certificate IV in OHS required.
• Lead Auditor, ICAM Investigation, Return to Work, and Behaviour-Based Safety certifications preferred.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Mental Health First Aid, and High Risk Work competencies (Confined Space and Working at Heights).
• Ability to work weekends and night shifts as required.

Responsabilidades

• Implement and maintain the Project Safety Plan and related safety systems on site.
• Lead safety culture with visible leadership and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, codes of practice, client requirements and company policies.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and implement risk controls.
• Participate in safety governance, inspections, audits, and safety forums.
• Prepare and improve safety management plans and documentation.
• Investigate incidents and report findings with corrective actions.
• Provide safety coaching and support to project and construction teams.
• Build relationships with clients, subcontractors, regulators and safety reps.
