Job summary

HOME Docklands in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Maintenance Officer to lead a small team, deliver high‑quality repairs and maintenance for residents, and ensure the building operates smoothly on a Monday–Friday on‑site schedule.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will coordinate maintenance workstreams, handle cyclical inspections and admin tasks, liaise with contractors, and contribute to a welcoming, supportive community for residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years experience in a general maintenance role.
• Hotel, aged care or other accommodation experience would be advantageous.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills paired with time management and the ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on leadership and support to Maintenance Officers.
• Deliver high‑quality repairs and maintenance for residents.
• Coordinate Maintenance Officers' workstreams to ensure timely completion to high standards.
• Oversee cyclical inspections and administrative tasks including purchase orders and warranties.
• Act as onsite point of contact for all contractors.
