Job summary

BMD Group is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to support on-site teams delivering civil infrastructure projects. You will influence Project Managers and stakeholders to achieve health, safety, environment and quality excellence, while leading development and implementation of HSEQ standards.

You will bring a Certificate IV in WHS, solid knowledge of current legislation, and proven HSE management experience on civil projects, with willingness to travel to Victoria to support local teams.

Qualifications

• Qualification in work health and safety (minimum of Certificate IV).
• Knowledge of current legislation, standards and industry requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in a HSE Management role on civil infrastructure projects.
• Open to frequent travel to Victoria to support local project teams.

Responsibilities

• Steer development and implementation of HSEQ standards aligned with compliance and due diligence.
• Undertake audits and inspections on civil infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with senior management to prepare HSEQ reports.
• Educate and motivate employees to champion best practice use of systems.
• Develop work method statements, project plans and inspection & test plans.
• Implement system changes and improvements to demonstrate continuous improvement.
