BMD Group in Adelaide is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead safety on a major infrastructure opportunity. You will provide practical safety leadership across multiple fronts and help establish robust safety systems and processes.

The role requires strong incident investigation, risk management and the ability to influence Project Directors, engineers and frontline teams while coordinating across client, contractor and subcontractor interfaces.

Qualifications

• Significant safety leadership experience in Australian civil construction or major projects.
• Experience in Tier 1 or major contractor environments.
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS regulations and construction safety requirements.
• Experience managing high-risk construction activities and critical risk controls.
• Experience developing and implementing safety management systems, assurance and reporting.

Responsabilités

• Lead safety management and provide practical advice to project leadership.
• Establish and maintain safety systems and processes across the program.
• Identify critical risks and controls with construction teams.
• Support incident investigations, assurance and continuous improvement.
• Coach leaders to strengthen safety capability and influence stakeholders.
• Build relationships across project and delivery stakeholders.
