Job summary

Argo Coal Management's Ironbark No 1 mine in Queensland's Bowen Basin near Moranbah is seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to own the administrative cycle on site, from drafting letters to chasing paperwork and updating systems.

You will partner with site leaders, apply HR practices, manage payroll, timesheets, recruitment and onboarding, with autonomy on site. A tertiary HR qualification is desirable; relocation may be considered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a generalist HR role in a fast-paced or operational environment (e.g. mining, construction, manufacturing, heavy industry).
• Demonstrated ability to apply HR practices practically and execute tasks, not just advise.
• Strong administrative capability with payroll, timesheets, end-to-end recruitment and onboarding experience, and proficiency in Excel and HRIS.
• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline desirable.

Responsibilities

• Draft letters, manage documentation, chase paperwork and keep processes moving.
• Partner with site leaders and workforce on HR initiatives, including onboarding and recruitment on site.
• Maintain HR systems and ensure alignment with operational demands.
