Job summary

Metso is seeking a Field Service professional to provide hands-on service on mineral processing equipment in customer sites across Queensland. You will liaise between customers, product divisions and sales, perform fault analysis, and supervise field projects.

The role requires a current drivers license, ability to read complex schematics, and readiness to travel or stay away from home as required. Strong communication and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised trade qualification is required.
• Knowledge of Metso equipment is advantageous.
• MS Office (Word/Excel) proficiency is expected.
• Current motor vehicle license is required.
• Must be physically fit and able to pass random medical and drug tests.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical schematics.
• Willingness to travel on short notice and work away from home for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on service work on Metso Mineral Processing Equipment in the field at customer sites.
• Serve as technical liaison between customers, product divisions and sales.
• Perform technical evaluations and analyze equipment/component failures.
• Supervise and oversee projects on customer sites.
• Complete field machine inspections per global/customer procedures.
• Escalate questions to Technical Support and Engineering.
• Prepare post-site visit reports, time sheets and expenses.
• Support warranty processes and Root Cause Analysis where applicable.
• Promote products and services to customers.
• Promote Technical Support value add and support teams.
• Identify equipment not in installed base and input data into CR.
