Job summary

Metso Crushing Equipment seeks a Field Service Technician to perform hands-on service at customer sites, diagnose faults and coordinate with sales for ongoing support. You will read electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, work extended hours away from home, and ensure safety compliance on every site visit.

The role involves field inspections, liaising with engineering, and promoting Metso services. Requires a trade qualification, driving license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current motor vehicle license is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on field service on Metso crushing equipment at customer sites.
• Act as technical liaison between customers, product divisions and sales.
• Perform fault analysis and evaluate equipment failures.
• Supervise and oversee field projects at customer sites.
• Prepare site reports, timesheets and expenses after visits.
• Support warranty processes and RCA where applicable.

Job description

Focusing on Metso Crushing Equipment, you will be responsible in playing a crucial part in performing and coordinating Field Service support relating to machines, spares and wears, and providing customers with technical services in conjunction with sales. In this position, you will report to the Service Supervisor. This role will allow opportunities to gain experience and training on other Metso products and services.

More about the role..

• Provide hands-on service work on Metso Mineral Crushing Equipment in the field at various customer site.
• Provide technical liaison services between customers, product divisions and sales personnel.
• Perform technical evaluations and analyse equipment and machine component failures.
• Supervise and oversee projects on customer sites.
• Complete field machine inspections per global and customer procedures.
• Escalate questions and analysis to Technical Support and Engineering.
• Prepare post site visit reports, time sheets and expenses after site visits.
• Support warranty process and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) where applicable.
• Promote products and services to customers
• Promote Technical Support value add and support Technical Support Teams
• Identify equipment in the field at the customer site that is not in our installed base, trigger data basic data input into CR

• Intermediate computer literacy in MS Office - Word and Excel.
• Must have current motor vehicle license.
• Must be physically fit and able to pass random medical and drug tests.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
• Ability to work away from home, for extended periods and extended hours, on weekends or as required.
• Clearly understand and competency in Risk management and safety rule compliance.
