Job summary

Downer is seeking a facilities coordination professional for an on-site role to help deliver safe, reliable maintenance outcomes across campuses. You will coordinate reactive and planned maintenance, manage subcontractors and maintain records in a CMMS while communicating updates to clients and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a background in facilities coordination, strong organisational skills and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Previous facilities coordination or facilities management experience within a complex operational environment.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and maintain documentation.
• Experience using a computerised maintenance management system and confidence with Microsoft software and related applications.
• Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements, risk management and contractor compliance, with a commitment to a strong safety culture.
• A relevant trade background is desirable, along with a valid unrestricted driver's licence and strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate reactive maintenance requests, planned maintenance and defect rectification, supporting the achievement of contractual KPIs and minimising abatements.
• Support the delivery of minor works, facility assessments, equipment replacement activities and maintenance planning across both campuses.
• Coordinate subcontractors and maintain accurate safety, permit, SWMS, compliance and service delivery records.
• Monitor work orders and maintenance activities through the computerised maintenance management system, ensuring records and outstanding actions remain current.
• Communicate regularly with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders, providing clear job updates and escalating service issues or potential delays.
