Job summary

Downer is offering an exceptional opportunity for a Building Services Supervisor within our Government and Integrated Facilities Management team. You will supervise building services works including renovations and contractor activities, ensuring compliance with NCC, Australian Standards, and contract specs, reporting to the Procurement & Subcontractor Manager to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will bring a trade license or equivalent experience, ensure OH&S compliance, manage subcontractors,

Qualifications

• Trade license or relevant practical experience to supervise building services.
• Registration as Building Practitioner under WA act.
• Experience in managing and supervising building services projects.
• Knowledge of work planning and scheduling procedures.
• Full understanding of OH&S regulations.
• Familiarity with Building Code of Australia and Australian Standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise planned works, defect rectification, and technical service delivery across tenanted and vacant properties.
• Drive safety and compliance - conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations while ensuring adherence to OH&S requirements.
• Validate scopes, perform site inspections, and enforce compliance with NCC, Australian Standards, and contract specifications.
• Manage subcontractor performance - provide clear direction, monitor delivery partner performance, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Deliver on time and build client relationships - manage work orders, identify risks early, and act as a key client contact to support strong, collaborative outcomes.
