Job summary

Downer is looking for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance across the Ormeau site and supporting locations, delivering reliability and safety improvements. You will manage a high-performing team and coordinate contractors to ensure smooth operations with minimal production disruption.

This role involves budgeting, planning and implementing continuous improvement initiatives within a major rail-related program, offering career growth and opportunities to advance

Qualifications

• Trade qualification and/or Engineering/Building degree (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience leading maintenance teams and contractors.
• Strong background in facilities, infrastructure or asset management.
• Experience managing budgets, cost control and performance outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all facilities and infrastructure maintenance activities across the Ormeau site and supporting locations.
• Deliver planned, preventative and reactive maintenance in line with the Technical Maintenance Plan.
• Oversee facility projects, including upgrades, installations and capital works.
• Drive Zero Harm outcomes, ensuring safe systems of work and strong HSE performance.
• Manage budgeting, cost control and resource planning for maintenance activities.
• Partner with Operations to ensure minimal disruption to production and service delivery.
• Lead, coach and develop the Facilities Maintenance team and contractors.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and external partners.
