Job summary

Enerven Energy Infrastructure Pty is leading the environmental management for a major Queensland BESS project, working with construction teams to ensure compliant and practical outcomes. The role focuses on risk, compliance and delivery across mobilization, construction and handover, with a DIDO roster servicing Fraser Coast and nearby regions.

We seek an experienced Environment Consultant to drive environmental performance on site, manage plans, controls and regulatory requirements, and provide

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline and at least 5 years' environmental experience.
• Experience developing and implementing environmental management plans and project controls.
• Strong knowledge of Queensland environmental legislation, approvals and compliance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence construction teams and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain project environmental management plans, systems and controls.
• Identify, assess and manage environmental risks and impacts including biodiversity, soil, water and cultural heritage.
• Provide practical environmental advice to project leaders, construction teams and subcontractors.
• Monitor environmental compliance through site inspections, audits and contractor performance reviews.
• Coordinate environmental incident investigations and corrective actions; drive continuous improvement.
• Work with clients, regulators and consultants to ensure project and legislative requirements are met.
