Job summary

DCOH is seeking a Victoria-based Construction Project Manager to lead on-site execution from award to handover. You will ensure safety, timeliness, budget adherence and quality across multi-sector projects.

Successful candidates will hold a Building/Construction or related degree and demonstrate extensive experience delivering commercial construction, coordinating trades, and managing teams in a live delivery environment.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Building & Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or related discipline.
Proven experience delivering commercial construction projects in a Project Manager or similar role.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project delivery sequencing and subcontractor coordination.
Experience managing projects through all phases, including structure, services, finishes and handover.
Sound knowledge of contracts, compliance obligations and relevant legislation.
Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements within construction environments.
Proven ability to lead and manage project teams in a live delivery environment.

Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of construction projects in accordance with programme, budget and contractual requirements.
Oversee day-to-day project execution in collaboration with Site Managers and project teams to ensure safe, coordinated and productive delivery.
Monitor project progress and proactively address delays, conflicts, sequencing challenges and project delivery risks.
Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality requirements are implemented, maintained and reviewed on site.
Procure trade packages, develop scopes of work and manage subcontractor engagement.
Oversee subcontractor performance, compliance and contractual obligations to ensure successful project delivery.
Review subcontractor claims, variations and extension of time requests with Contracts Administrator.
Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
Monitor programme performance, project budgets and delivery outcomes, identifying cost risks and procurement efficiencies.
Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and contractual obligations throughout lifecycle.
Maintain project records, RFIs, site instructions and correspondence.
Lead commissioning, defect rectification, certification and handover activities.
