On-Site Construction Project Leader: Delivery & Safety

Job summary

DCOH is seeking a Victoria-based on-site Project Manager to lead the delivery of construction projects from award to handover. You will ensure safety, quality and programme alignment, while coordinating with Site Managers, subcontractors and clients.

The role requires a building/construction degree or diploma, strong delivery experience on commercial projects, knowledge of contracts, and a White Card with current Australian Driver's Licence.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Building & Construction Management, PM, or Engineering.
• Proven experience delivering commercial construction projects in a Project Manager or similar role.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project delivery sequencing and subcontractor coordination.
• Sound knowledge of construction contracts, compliance obligations and relevant legislation.
• Current Construction Induction Card (White Card) and current Australian Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of construction projects in accordance with programme, budget and contractual requirements.
• Oversee day-to-day project execution in collaboration with Site Managers and project teams to ensure safe, coordinated and productive delivery.
• Monitor project progress and proactively address delays, conflicts, sequencing challenges and project delivery risks.
• Procure trade packages, develop scopes of work and manage subcontractor and supplier engagement.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, compliance and contractual obligations to ensure successful project delivery.
• Review subcontractor claims, variations and extension of time requests in collaboration with the Contracts Administrator.
• Maintain accurate project records, reports, RFIs, site instructions and project correspondence.
• Lead commissioning, defect rectification, certification and handover activities to achieve successful project completion.
