Job summary

WesTrac Bathurst is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team in Bathurst. You will perform on-site maintenance, repairs, diagnostics and component changes on CAT equipment to keep machines safe and productive.

Ideal candidates hold an Australian-recognised mechanical trade, have strong diagnostics skills, and a valid driver's licence. Field service experience is highly regarded, and relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Australian-recognised mechanical trade (e.g., Cert III HD Plant).
• Proven rebuilds/major component overhaul/assembly experience.
• CAT or comparable surface mining gear; strong diagnostics/fault-finding.
• Proactive, safety-first mindset; unrestricted driver’s licence.
• Field Service Experience (Highly regarded)

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting and component replacements on CAT equipment.
• Conduct inspections, diagnostics and quality checks to identify faults and ensure equipment reliability.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and field service activities in line with customer requirements and operational priorities.
• Maintain a safe, organised work environment in the field while collaborating with Supervisors, planners and site personnel.
