Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Security Engineer for the Customer Incident Response Team in Brisbane. You will lead incident response operations, automate security tasks, and partner with customers and partners to deploy scalable threat detection and response.

You will work with AWS service teams, develop security content, and contribute to projects that improve security across cloud environments. On-call duties are part of this role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of scripting, programming, and security code review (non-internship) in a common language.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or 2+ years IT security experience.
• Experience troubleshooting systems, logs, or automating tasks via command line.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee incident response operations.
• Be a deep technical resource trusted by customer stakeholders during security events.
• Contribute to teams to build and deploy threat detection and incident response capabilities.
• Design, build, and deploy solutions to automate security operations and incident response on AWS.
• Contribute to internal builder projects to develop new consulting engagement models.
• Develop content such as automation tools, reference architectures, and white papers for consultants, partners, and customers.
• Mentor and invest in our consultants, partners, and customers to raise the bar for outcomes.
• On-call required.
