Job summary

Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced security engineer to join the Customer Incident Response Team. You will perform and oversee incident response operations, scale threat detection, and automate security operations across AWS environments.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of scripting and cloud security experience, with on-call responsibilities and a focus on building scalable security solutions for customers globally.

Qualifications

• 2+ years scripting, programming, and security code review in a non-internship role.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or 2+ years IT security experience.
• Experience debugging systems, logs, and automating tasks via CLI.
• Experience with security frameworks, incident response, cloud security, or secure software development.
• Knowledge of general AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee incident response operations.
• Design, build, and deploy threat detection and incident response capabilities on AWS.
• Develop automation tools, reference architectures, and white papers to help consultants, partners, and customers.
• Mentor and invest in our consultants, partners, and customers to raise the bar for our customers.
• On-call required.
