Job summary

Barwon Health in Geelong is seeking a Work Health and Safety Advisor (Grade 4) to deliver expert OHS guidance and training to managers, employees and health and safety representatives. You will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of OHS strategies, with a strong emphasis on risk prevention and psychosocial hazards.

This permanent full-time role (80 hours per fortnight) includes a supportive team, five weeks leave, salary packaging and access to Barwon Health staff

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of OHS Act 2004 and relevant standards.
• Experience promoting safety culture.
• Tertiary qualification in OHS.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Barwon Health's OHSMS to align with legislation and best practice.
• Facilitate consultation and communication to support safety participation.
• Provide expert advice on safety and psychosocial risk to managers, employees, and HSRs.
• Support investigation of OHS and psychosocial incidents, including root cause analysis.
