Job summary

INPEX Australia Talent Community is seeking a Lead Cost Controller to drive cost leadership for an offshore development project in Perth. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting and expenditure management while partnering with project teams, contractors and stakeholders to ensure robust cost governance.

The role requires extensive cost control experience on large capital projects, strong financial analysis and the ability to influence outcomes, plus leadership to coach Cost Controllers.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in cost control for large-scale capital/development projects.
• Strong forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to influence project outcomes through commercial judgement.
• Leadership experience including coaching or mentoring team members.
• Experience in offshore, energy, resources or major projects is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting and expenditure management.
• Monitor cost performance and provide insights to optimise outcomes.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors and stakeholders on cost governance.
• Review contractor cost reports, invoices and work valuations.
• Support change management, contract administration and assurance activities.
• Drive continuous improvement across project controls systems and processes.
