Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Lead Cost Controller in Perth, Australia for a 12-month contract. You will lead cost control, forecasting, and performance reporting across major capital projects, coordinating with project delivery, planning, procurement and finance teams to maintain cost visibility and robust project controls.

The role involves earned value, change management, cash flow forecasting, and reporting across EPCM/EPC, offshore, and oil & gas environments. Australian citizens or PR preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of cost control experience in EPC/O&G environments.
• Experience with TIC, engineering hours, procurement costs, and contractor cost control.
• Experience supporting cost forecasting, earned value, and financial reporting.

Job Title: Lead Cost Controller

Duration: 12 months contract

Schedule: 5 days a week

Location: Perth

This opportunity is focused on providing cost control, forecasting, and performance reporting support within major capital projects. The role works closely with project delivery, planning, procurement, and finance teams to maintain accurate cost visibility and support effective project controls. This position offers involvement across earned value, change management, cash flow forecasting, and reporting in EPCM, EPC, offshore, and oil & gas environments.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of cost control experience within EPCM, EPC, offshore, FPSO, oil & gas, or major capital project environments.
• Experience managing TIC, engineering hours, procurement costs, and contractor cost control activities.
• Experience supporting cost forecasting, earned value performance, change management, and financial reporting across complex project delivery environments.
• Experience working with project managers, planners, procurement, and finance teams to support project objectives within approved budgets and schedules.
• Experience in multi-discipline engineering and procurement environments.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of cost management, forecasting, variance analysis, earned value management, and change management.
• Ability to establish and maintain project cost control systems, budgets, forecasts, and reporting processes.
• Capability to prepare weekly and monthly cost reports, ETC, EAC, cash flow forecasts, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in EcoSys, ERP systems, Excel, and Power BI.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and commercial awareness skills.
• Ability to maintain project controls data and support governance and compliance procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in FPSO, offshore brownfield modifications, operations support, shutdowns, and sustaining capital projects.
• Familiarity with offshore project execution, vendor management, and TIC cost management.
