Job summary

Macmahon, a mining and civil contractor, is seeking an IT Support Officer to join the Service Desk at head office in Perth. You’ll be the first point of contact and help safeguard the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our technology services.

The role covers incident resolution, PC imaging, asset management, and supporting meeting rooms with AV and video conferencing for executives. You’ll work with Scalefusion MDM for mobile devices and collaborate with broader IT teams across

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in IT or related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in technical support/service desk role.
• Strong knowledge of IP addressing, firewalls, Remote Desktop and network troubleshooting.
• Experience using Manage Engine Service Desk Plus for logging and resolving incidents.
• Experience with MDM, preferably Scalefusion.
• Experience supporting meeting-room and video-conferencing tech for executives.

Responsibilities

• Resolve incidents and service requests; escalate as needed with timely updates.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, peripheral and connectivity issues.
• IT onboarding activities including PC imaging, user setup, and account creation.
• Maintain and coordinate IT assets with accurate records and allocation.
• Support mobile devices via Scalefusion MDM and troubleshoot.
• Provide technical assistance for board and executive meetings (AV/conferencing).

About the Role

As part of the Service Desk team, provide the first point of contact and technical assistance for end users to support the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Macmahon’s technology services. We are currently seeking expressions of interest for experienced IT Support Officer to join our Service Desk team.

Responsibilities

• Resolve incidents and complete service requests, escalating high-priority or complex issues to specialised support groups where required. Maintain ongoing communication with end users, provide timely updates and verify successful resolution.
• Diagnose and resolve computer hardware, software, printer, peripheral and connectivity issues.
• Perform IT onboarding activities including PC imaging, initial user setup, account creation and administration.
• Maintain and coordinate IT assets, ensuring records are accurate and equipment is appropriately allocated and managed.
• Support and administer mobile devices through Scalefusion MDM, including device enrolment, configuration, application deployment, policy implementation and troubleshooting.
• Provide responsive, hands‑on technical assistance for Board and executive meetings, ensuring meeting‑room, audio‑visual and conferencing technology is operational and providing immediate troubleshooting support when required.

What You’ll Bring

• Diploma / Degree in IT or related discipline.
• 2 – 3 years of experience in technical support/service desk role.
• Strong knowledge of IP addressing, firewalls, Remote Desktop and general network troubleshooting.
• Experience using Enterprise ticketing system such as Manage Engine Service Desk Plus, including logging, managing and resolving incidents and service requests.
• Experience with mobile device management (MDM), preferably Scalefusion, including supporting and troubleshooting managed mobile devices.
• Experience supporting meeting-room and video‑conferencing technology to provide technical assistance to executives and senior stakeholders during Board and executive meetings.
• Location: Macmahon Head Office – Perth (Near T2)
• Roster: 5:2/Monday to Friday
