Job summary

Global Payments in Australia seeks a senior information security leader to direct security engineering, architecture, threat management and incident response across the enterprise.

You will guide risk assessments, implement enterprise controls, and translate complex security concepts for business leadership, vendors and partners. This role requires at least 10 years of experience, relevant certifications, and a proven track record delivering secure, compliant technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information security or computer science (preferred).
• Typically a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Managerial experience of 5–6 years.
• One or more of the listed certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, PCI-QSA, PA-QSA, PCIP, CRISC, CGEIT, CFCE, CCTA, CCE) is required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers advanced information security solutions aligned with business goals.
• Guides security controls reviews for third party assurance and data protection obligations.
• Approves enterprise-level development projects and helps drive architectural roadmap to reduce risk.
• Investigates, reports and translates findings into actionable risk mitigation plans.
• Directs cyber security research to adapt to evolving threats and leverages emerging technologies.
• Develops and maintains information security monitoring programs to measure control effectiveness.
• Coordinates incident response and acts as escalation point for major security incidents.
